Abstract : Let R be a commutative ring with 1. A 1xn row vector u (with entries from R) is called unimodular if there is a nx1 column vector v such that uv=1. In this talk we shall start with some basic and classical resultson unimodular rows. We shall also present some of the recent works and some open problems.
